The series debuted back in September 2021, and it stands as the third spin-off in Wolf’s shared universe of FBI shows, which are, in turn, connected to NBC’s Law & Order and One Chicago franchises.

Is Luke Kleintank leaving FBI International?

Yes, as FBI: International wrapped up its third season with the episode “Tuxhorn,” series lead Luke Kleintank was written out.

For the first three seasons of the show, Kleintank played Fly Team supervisor Scott Forrester. 

It is significant to remember that Forrester, who was last seen in the May 4 episode “Touts,” had not been on FBI: International for several weeks. The episode after “Touts” established Agent Forrester as missing, but the season finale provided an explanation of the character’s location.

And where was he? In the opening to the finale episode, NSA liaison Brian Lange ascertains that Scott Forrester has traveled to Norway to rescue his captive mother. The actor called it quit with the FBI International because he wanted to spend more time with his family.

Kleintank said in a statement that he decided due to his “unwavering commitment to [his] family,” but was sure to “extend [his] thanks to the fans:”

“After giving it some thought, I have decided to leave FBI International.” What drives me to make this decision is my unwavering commitment to my family, whose love and well-being are the most significant aspects of my existence. I have the utmost gratitude for the amazing cast and crew of the show; they have been more than just coworkers—they have been like family.

Their unwavering commitment and extraordinary skills have made every experience on set one to remember and have greatly improved my life. Finally, I want to express my gratitude to the viewers who have helped us during the first three seasons.” 

Kleintank has been a part of the original cast of FBI: International since the show’s 2021 premiere. The good news is that Forrester survives. His destiny is tied to that of his off-the-radar mother, Angela Cassidy (Elizabeth Mitchell).

Forrester Could Take The Fall For The Fly Team

This scenario is a combination of the options of Forrester quitting the FBI and being fired from the FBI. The character has repeatedly demonstrated how vital his agents’ lives are to him in the final episodes of Luke Kleintank, which may even extend to their employment.
