She was forced to move back in with her parents since she was depressed, had two sons, and was penniless. She began assessing herself, going to God every day, and deriving meaning from her suffering.

She ended a 16-year marriage with Pothier in 2006. According to the religion she grew up in, getting divorced sends you down a slippery slope to Hell. In a recent interview with The Christian Post, Jones stated, “It was not even heard of in the church in 2006; now it’s rapid.”

As worship pastors, Jones compared herself and her two sons’ father to the “Barbie and Ken of the church,” leading an idyllic life. She had no idea how she was going to get better once he departed. The pressure of dealing with life post-separation was unsurmountable. She knew no one in her family who’d met with that ordeal and struggled to move past it.

Jones began to heal when he heard God’s voice. After spending the first year in utter anguish, she felt the pull of the divine, got herself up, and decided to make something out of her life. At the age of 38, she claims to have broken “soul ties” and “generational curses” from her life by studying the Bible to refresh her mind.

At the age of 41, Jones delivered her first sermon and entered the ministry full-time after one of her videos went viral on social media. As the senior pastor of Limitless Church now, she has witnessed firsthand how God has urged her to rise time and time again.
