Is Ashley leaving young and restless? Where is Ashley Abbott? 

Ashley Abbott is a fictional character from the American soap operas The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful on the CBS network. She has been most notably portrayed by Eileen Davidson, who originated the role on June 11, 1982, before departing in 1988.

Ashley was portrayed by Brenda Epperson from 1988 to 1995. Shari Shattuck then took on the role for the following three years, until Davidson’s comeback on March 19, 1999. Davidson won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2018 after being nominated for the title in 2003.

Until she was an adult, the character—who is the daughter of Dina Mergeron and Brent Davis—thought that John Abbott was her biological father. Over the years, she has been in relationships with numerous men, including Cole Howard, Brad Carlton, Steven Lassiter, Victor Newman, and Blade Bladeson.

She has a daughter with Victor, Abby Newman. She is also known for her business contributions to her father’s company, Jabot Cosmetics, much like her brother Jack.

Is Ashley leaving young and restless? 

The good news for Y&R fans is that Eileen has not indicated that she wants to leave the hit CBS soap opera or return to the Bravo show.

All signs point to the Ashley story, giving a nod back to her history with mental illness. Ashley experienced hysterical amnesia for the first time in 1985 after finding out that John (Jerry Douglas) was not her biological father.

There have been a lot of rumors on Young and the Restless that Eileen Davidson, who plays Ashley Abbott on the show, is leaving for a previous role.

Fans of Y&R have been wondering whether Ashley’s mental health problems were a plot device to remove Eileen from the show ever since she started having them.

We know that Ashley has multiple personality disorders.

Over the years, Ashley Abbott has had more than one breakdown and ended up in a mental health facility to get better. We are not sure what The Young and the Restless has planned for Ashley and her multiple personas this time around.

Could we see Eileen Davidson on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Y&R?

Filming for RHOBH Season 14 is expected to start this month. Cast contracts are reportedly being discussed because, as Monsters and Critics has previously reported, Annemarie Wiley has revealed that she was not asked to return. 

Back in 2019, Eileen took to Twitter, now X, to clap back at her former RHOBH caster, Lisa Vanderpump, and revealed she left the Bravo show because she was being demoted to friend status.

It does not mean Eileen is leaving Y&R if she does, by some chance, wind up back on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She lives there, so it is likely that she would not go back if it meant quitting her work on the popular CBS soap opera.

It remains to be seen where Ashley’s situation develops and whether Eileen Davidson will return to RHOBH.
